DTF vs. DTG: Which Printing Method Is Right for You?

Introduction:
Choosing between DTF and DTG can be challenging if you're new to textile printing. Both have their strengths, but the right choice depends on your business model and product goals.

Main Content:
DTG prints directly onto garments and offers soft-touch, high-resolution results – best for cotton. However, it requires pre-treatment and works poorly on polyester. DTF, in contrast, prints onto a film that can then be heat-transferred to various fabrics with little limitation. It's more versatile, easier to scale, and handles vibrant colors on dark fabrics better than DTG.

Conclusion:
If you’re printing mostly on cotton and want photo-quality detail, DTG may be ideal. But if flexibility, no pre-treatment, and lower maintenance matter to you, DTF is likely the better long-term investment.
